U know how thunder sounds like in midnight.. And yesterday's thunder was so loud that i got awaken by it even though i was sound asleep ..
The bomp bomp bomp sound..so loud that it sounded scary to me. But im so tired and thus lazy to get out of the bed to close the window.. first time im quite scared of thunder.. remembered as a kid i will always hide behind my mum and follow her like a worm to everywhere she goes. And my height is just nice to be around the height of her butt.. haha.. and imagine if she farted.. Oops.. ahaha..
Oh yea, a small change in my work. Just got transferred to a new clinic to learn the ropes there so that i can cover the staff if they arent available. How cheap of NUH to do that though it seems relatively common in the working world. But ! to me, i have to learn everything from scratch and remember the things again.. its quite a chore to me and kind of difficult relating to things in healthcare. Its never the same as private sectors.
2 days have passed and its overall ok and manageable, just that in the morning, it gets very haywire when many many patients come for their consultations and/or blood tests.
Like when im busy im very busy and when im free, im very free kind.
And gosh, i see the difference now between subsidised and private patients. Sad to say, private patients are indeed more civilised. When they scold, they scold using those " sophisticated" words as if they own the whole hospital, but for civilised patients, they love to nag and stare at you do work, and when they scold, they make a big fuss so much so that the whole clinic can hear them. Those Out to embarass you kind, they dun care much about their image actually. And some are so thick- skinned to be so demanding when they missed their appointments.
They go ... " Oh i missed my appointment, im too busy, i forgot it "
And not being paiseh at all, they request u do this and that for them.
Then i will go thinking... Wah, kings and Queens la.. as and when u want.. So feel like suaning them at times but i ren.. i think seriously, they have elephant skins.. too thick le..
In essence, patients are hard to please. Especially, old and unreasonable ones. What surprises me sometimes is that, even young highly educated people goes shouting at you like nobody's business, showing off their stupid attitude. I thought they should be more reasonable and understanding... I wonder what has our singapore teachers, lecturers, CME lessons taught them ... and to think we went through the HAO GONG MING.. Pui !
And sometimes, their unreasonable behaviour just pisses me off and more than often, leaving me and my colleagues speechless. Not becoz we are too shocked to say anything, but just that we are too tired and busy to care about them. At the most, we just go Haiz,shake our heads and shrugs. Anyway, we can never win them. Afterall, patients are our topmost concern and priority. Sometimes, i think its bullshit, but bo bian. HAHA.. just like people always say customers are always right.
inevitably, our blood vessels boil. But we must be professional.
So im sure ! I will be a nice patient. A patient with patience, of coz the medical professionals dun show me attitude and give me good reasons to wait for hours.
Alrightz.. enough of complaining. Bahz..
